Food presentation is an art of modifying, processing, arranging or decorating food to enhance its beauty and taste.
The visual presentation of food is often considered by chefs at many different stages of food presentation. It is just as important for the success of the dish as its taste and flavors. The way the food looks on the plate is what tempts you and makes you want to taste it. Even if food tastes good but served in an unappealing manner, you may not feel like having it. Important rule of presentation is balance, variety and contrast. Garnishing also plays an important role in food presentation.
